Come back from Sri Lanka - 2011
From my arrival, visit of Ptit Filou, she has just received a paint inside. I am at once happy to find Ptit Filou and a little disappointed to notice little of works realized since the last pictures received ...
After a long period of activity reduced on Ptit Filou, the works seem to have started again. It is true that the finish of Mambo, the barramundi presented to show boat of La Rochelle, set a lot of time, but it allowed to identify the defects and the abnormalities which can be taken into account on the following multihulls...

ShowBoat Grand Pavois for Mambo - 2011
While Ptit Filou is on stand by that's repport its launch and of course our departure for one year off,
we had the opportunity to sail on Mambo presented at the Grand
Pavois La Rochelle.
First tests, first sensations between Lorient and La Rochelle ... a nice night's navigation ... broad reach and off the wind...
A good speed with point of sailing made up to 18 kts ... Additional sail trimming, a revision deck and some finishes are certainly

Equipment and Material - 2011
The first part of our materials and equipment arrived safely, currently stored on site Barramundi Boat Yard. After a stay of three good weeks on a cargo
boat, a
passage through the Red Sea, a stopover in Colombo, and another week before joining the site, our equipment and materials can stay in the side of Ptit Filou.
Our crew, our NKE autopilot is stored in the cargo area of Brussels airport, waiting for air travel.
As soon as all equipment will be assembled on Barramundi Boat Yard, we will schedule our intervention to unpack and install all this equipments.
We had settled in July but the work of construction Barramundi Boat Yard are not sufficiently
advanced. However the date of launch is held in mid August.
We have recently been approached and circulate in Ptit Filou via Skype and a stick camera. Really great, it's a nice idea to forget the distance that separates us from Sri Lanka and see the evolution of our catamaran.

Ptit Filou in works - 2011
We received new photos, not in great quantities but the others will come certainly soon...
The activity seems to have started again around Ptit Filou, a team works on the boat.
We have no very precise schedule but the delivery date is pushed away in the middle of August, this date will be confirmed before two weeks.
We shall have works to be realized by ourselfs, the inside's arrangement, the installation of the electronics and a little decoration according to what we shall find spot...
Our material, personal effects and safety equipment are at present on the way towards Sri Lanka in a container somewhere in the Red Sea, we wait for the agreement of the Boat Yard to send our
pack NKE which requires special authorizations and which cannot be to send that by sea and let us hope that it'lll leave soon...
We also wait for the arrival of the tube of mast which conditions our intervention in Sri Lanka.
From July we could work on our boat, everything will depend on the progress... We are impatient and exited to organize our departure...

Launch Mambo - 2011
First edges for N°2 of Barramundi 470, the first tests seem to confirm the goods performances.
Regrettably the owners, in their big despair, were not able to try Mambo, for technical reasons. It is very hard to see escaping the sensations for which we waited so much.
It will be necessary to wait good month for preparation and finish before sailing to Europe.

Visit of Barramundi Boat Yard - 2010
The second visit of the construction site and especially our catamaran... It is during this journey that the name is adopted : Ptit Filou.
Because of the problems of transport by cargo boat which the construction site can pleased assumed, it is during this visit that we take the decision to finish our boat in Sri Lanka and to leave
with Ptit filou to sailin across Indian Ocean. This decision didn't enchants us a lot because it change our projects and especially the pleasure to be able to fit out and finish the boat
according to our means and our budget. Without counting the problem of a good preparation before a long cruise ...
Only positive point : to discover the Indian Ocean.

Visit of Barramundi Boat Yard - 2009
First visit of the construction site and our catamaran. We have seen the implementation of the roof just before our departure. It is really great to to see our catamaran. Meeting also with Martin who works with doggedness on its boat.
